This is actually what we call a “katydid”. Once in a Blue Moon, you find a pink one. They chirp and sing all late summer and fall, like crickets, until winter silences them.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a pink one. How wonderful! I don’t think we have a lot of pink insects in Norway, I should probably look into it.
